All Roads Lead To Signing Day!!

Everything we do at Blue Heart is aimed at equipping young black men with the tools to be successful in Career, College and… LIFE!! We give them hope, belief and the confidence to be themselves!! Our Signing Day Event is the culmination of all the work we do! From age 13-18, we build leaders who are ready and able to be successful post high school!



Mentor Connection

Our Mentor Connection sessions provides a safe space focused on relationship and team building, life skills, promotion of healthy self-esteem, prevention of risk behaviors and promotion of healthy behaviors.



College Prep

College and Career Prep Academy is designed to help our students define their college and career interests, develop defined goals, create a strong academic portfolio, and submit effective college applications and scholarships.



Step Practice

STEP practice is designed to build leadership skills, team building, develop communication skills and foster brotherhood.

The Problem

Our program helps our young men prepare for college. We need your help to keep them there!

Many black students in the United States face unique challenges in completing postsecondary programs. Barriers to completion include the high financial cost of higher education and implicit racial discrimination that leads many to drop out.

Black men have the lowest completion rate at 40%. This high dropout rate is partially due to the fact that 65% of African American college students are independent, meaning they must balance pursuing a degree with full-time work and family responsibilities.

What is Signing Day?

Blue Heart Signing Day is the day students who have gone through our program reveal to their family and friends, their college and/or career choice.

Every year The Blue Heart Foundation celebrates our seniors as they graduate from high school and choose the direction (4yr, 2yr, or workforce) that will take them into their next life adventure.

Our program helps our young guys prepare and get accepted to college… But we need your help to keep them there!

Because of the high dropout rate for African American youth due to the cost of higher education, our goal is to alleviate the financial pressure for our students and parents by being able to provide education expenses like tuition, books, laptops, college materials etc., at Signing Day.

By supporting the Blue Heart Signing Day Scholarship Fund, you will be making a tangible impact ensuring that our young men stay in college and reduce the amount of stress for them and their families, that working to fund their dreams brings.
