đĽI just have to take a moment to give a huge, heartfelt shoutout to the incredible Staci Dent! đ
From the early days of Blue Heart, Staci was right there beside Tracy, rolling up her sleeves and doing the real workâguiding our young kings through one of the most overwhelming journeys: applying to college. But she didnât stop there.
âď¸Staci went above and beyond to make sure not just one or two, but over 10 of our young men got accepted into Morehouse Collegeâwith full rides! Let that sink in. Full scholarships. And even more powerful? She didnât walk away once they got in. Staci walked with them, mentored them, supported them, and made sure they crossed that graduation stage. Every. Single. One.
Today, weâre celebrating 6 years Blue Heart Morehouse graduates, with more on the way. These young men are the living, breathing fruit of the seeds planted by Tracy and watered by Staci.đđŞđ˝
Staciâon behalf of all of us at Blue Heart, THANK YOU. Youâve been a quiet force, a fierce advocate, and a true blessing to our boys and this mission. We are forever grateful. đđ

Staci Dent | Scholar Advocate. Trusted Coach. Proud Daughter of Southeast San Diego.
Staci McClanahan Dent is a deeply respected educator, advocate, and college coach whose quiet strength and unwavering belief in young people have helped transform livesâstarting in her beloved Southeast San Diego and reaching campuses across the country from primary school to higher education.
A proud mother of fourâtwo of whom are graduates of Morehouse College and one currently attending Spelman CollegeâStaci leads with love, lived experience, and an unshakable commitment to Black academic excellence to close the achievement gap and dismantle the school-to-prisons pipeline. Her journey through public education as a teacher, principal, and central office administrator with San Diego Unified has given her a rare understanding of how to both navigate and reimagine the systems our students face.
Through her work with Pretty Brain Solutions and Elevate Scholars, Staci walks hand-in-hand with families and students, offering culturally grounded guidance that ties together scholarship, leadership, and purpose. From Southeast schools like Lincoln, Knox, Morse, Fulton, San Diego High, Horton, and even Bonita Vista to institutions like Tennessee State, UAPB, Philander Smith, and Clark Atlanta University (just to name a few)âher students not only get in, they earn scholarships and graduate.
For over a decade, sheâs also served as a devoted mentor, partner, and mother figure within The Blue Heart Foundation, where her care has helped over 10 young men journey to Morehouse College and to graduate programs and careers in their dream-fields.
Staci doesnât do this work for accolades. She does it because she knows whatâs possible when a student feels truly seen and supported. From the block to the boardroom, sheâs helping raise a generation rooted in purpose and possibilityâone scholar, one family, one future at a time.

Tracy R. Morris, you better be smiling down from heaven! Your life was not in vain. Your work was not in vain. Together We Rise! College Builds Communities and It Takes A Village!
Not only did we have three Graduates this year, but Mom Jessica Marlowe (Omar's Mom), Lemar Slater, proud Morehouse Alumni and staunch Blue Heart supporter, Kylen Dent BH '19, M '23, Mom Staci Dent, Tha Bomb Coach and BH Alumni Parent, Edward Shenault, BH '20 M '24, and Michael Savage, BH '22, M '26 were all in attendance!
